Scott I got a Chrysler 200 year 2012 with 115000 miles on it, I got it when it was 90000 miles I have always used regular oil one time I drove it from Ohio all the way down to Texas and drove it back up to Ohio but now I don't drive all that often I only drive a mile to go to work and I still to this day use regular oil, the only time I drive high mileage is when I go up north which is an hour away and that's every other week, everyone keeps telling me to switch to synthetic oil because it makes your engine, i would like to ask you would you think it would be a good idea to switch synthetic?

  3. John Nimbus says

I've owned 3 brand new Subarus since 1994 and have not had any major problems with any of them.

  4. Brett Panzer says

Consumer Reports will still list them as the best or most reliable brand. Subaru is a marketing scam at this point.

  5. Marvin Andrada says

    What car do you drive?

  6. 1JackTorS says

Scotty: Hates every new car ever made
Subaru: We have some recalls to announce…
Scotty (in best black woman under a hair dryer gossip voice): "I told you. What did I tell you? Didn't I tell you? Cuz I told ya! Mmm-hm. And when did I tell you? A long time ago. And what did I say would happen when I told you? Exactly what just happen!"

  7. Steve W says

You always find the thing you're looking for at the last place you look……Think about it.

  8. hermes alejandro cerdenia says

I own a 2014 Subaru Impreza STI Limited edition i bought brand new. It has 70,000 miles now. It still looks, runs and smell brand new. I change the oil myself. It burns 1/4 quart of oil every 5,000 miles. It is 305hp. Its has superior handling on curvy roads, wet roads and snowy and icy roads. It's all wheel drive system is second to none.

  9. circle post says

Ok then, LISTEN UP PEOPLE, it’s simple…. whatever side you are on, is too easy to look up all the problems subaru is facing now….. if you care do it , the facts are there. Also be aware of people who work for Subaru… whose job is to argue the facts in order to deceive prospective buyers…..
ask any independent mechanic who owns that software for diagnostics, and he’ll tell you Subaru no 1 problem is cvt failure…. and now engine failure as well….. either you care or you don’t. Subaru workers need not reply🤣🤣🤣🤣

  10. Alfredo Mendoza says

Sorry but ej series engines are not all bad engines, Subaru are not bad cars

  11. Duncan Otema says

You are wrong about Subaru. The boxer engine is quite a reliable and stable design, least vibrations. But which car do you ever recommend?? I saw a 94 corolla hit a utility pole and the airbags remained intact. How safe is that?

  12. Matman B says

I might just buy one of these 2020 money pit cars, take the engine out, sell it, and leave the car on the front lawn, and replace the engine with a barbeque! Then I'll have a lawn ornament And a grill! Lmao

  13. WhatWho Me says

We have a 2012 Subaru Outback and a 2015 Legacy. Other than a battery replacement, neither car has ever needed a repair.

  14. Stephen Stephen says

Just get rid of it!! lol

  15. Marktuyet says

Our 2012 Impreza has had it's engine rebuilt 3 times by Subaru . They suck and we are still having problems . Transmission had to be repaired and now at 85,000 miles the AC condenser needs to be replaced. Worked fine before the last engine rebuild . Subaru sucks big time . Listen to Scotty .
I'd rather walk than buy another Subaru .

I revved up a Subaru and the head gasket blew.

  17. tim schmidt says

dont buy a ram, bmw dont buy anything except a 10 year old yard car! sick of you Scotty

  18. MURR DOG says

    FORD = forgot OBVIOUS RESEARCH/DEVELOPMENT..recall cronies..Detroit

  19. Nismo Kid says

I drive a 2007 Infiniti ex35 130k miles and have had zero issues.. lucky me according to Scotty.

Drove a 2005 Nissan 350z to 230k+ miles before trading trading. Again zero issues. Again lucky me.

  20. Nic Restrepo says

Every company has recalls on every model…. cherry picking this recall just to make yourself look as if you knew something. Here’s a prediction… the new Honda Accord will have a recall.

  21. Stephen Sangalli says

I’ve had two outbacks and they never give me any problems. Scotty on this matter you are overreacting and wrong.

  22. oliver villamar says

I have subaru outback 2003 238000 milage and still RUNNING very strong… regular maintenance…

And I have a legacy 2013 cvt 114000 strong and I have never had problems….

  23. MikePDaTruth says

I used to have a 2014 Crosstrek which was a pretty solid vehicle imo. Never had the issues with oil consumption. I upgraded to a 2018 Crosstrek, now have 68K miles. No major mechanical issues yet, but the quality isn't there with this new global platform. Seat adjustments broke, plastic trim on the seat broke, whining from the climate control fan, weird alternator-like whirring noise under hood in cold temps, CVT is sometimes quite jerky, rattles from the passenger side A-pillar and under the hood. The ride and handling is very good. But from a quality perspective they just aren't put together as well with this new generation of vehicles.

  24. FD Mackey says

My wife's son owned a Subaru sedan for several years (purchased used with 20,000 miles on it) and it stayed broken, off and on, from 2004 when he purchased it to the day he sold it for scrap with 34,000 miles on it in 2013. The dealer made some change off of him as did several independent area Subaru "specialty shops" who "fixed it" when it broke….Which was often and always expensive. His mother signed over her 2001 Sonata to him. That car now has over 250,000 miles on it but has given him trouble free service as a daily driver since 2013.

  25. Ben Kersey says

Toyota doesn’t seem to have a problem with Subaru.

  26. Eric Gonzalez says

Scotty this recall is old news has been sent out to customers a few months ago.

  27. Barbara Allen says

I won't purchase ANY new car. It seems most have issues resulting in a recall.

  28. Old man Goat says

    I never had a gift-horse😩😫😂🤣😁😆😊

  29. Smooth Operator says

    Glad I bought a Toyota Rav4 instead. 👍

  30. M Lee says

Scotty is right, I own a 2015 Forester XT. I’ve had an AC condenser replaced recently (same issue with my previous wrx as well) and front bushings replaced. The interior squeaks and rattles and I hate the CVT transmission. This is my last Subaru…

  31. Ben Cotton says

Aug 9, 2019 Video Scotty Ranked Subaru his TOP 5 maker!!!

  32. yummdiddy says

I used to laugh at people in suburus because of their bad engines. My dad was lightly racing a wrx in his 74 porsche 911 on the freeway and while they were sitting at abput 100, the wrx's engine blew lol. Smoke everywhere. The amount of laughter coming from my dad and i was thunderous.

  33. James Wisrik says

I made a mistake of buying a…  free yourself. 2014 outback. Traded in for a 2015 Tacoma. No issues since.

  34. hillbillytruckster says

You think if Scotty knew that Toyota has 25% ownership in Subaru that he'd change his mind?

  35. Miguel Tiempos says

Good honest comments from Scotty!!! Thanks Sir… Working on getting a Honda!!! hahahahah!!!!

  36. Ethan Wood says

254k on the original motor and transmission on my 04 forester would like to disagree Scotty.

  37. astras18 95 says

    God Scott is super annoying

  38. Not Rappaport says

Hey, Scotty, have you found your mind yet?

  39. Alex Moreno says

Just stop bro with your haterade videos on subaru you even put it as top five cars to buy… i owned multiple subarus and never experienced any of the problems you describe. Dont buy toyotas they will kill you check the facts

  40. YeuLaKho says
